Welcome to the official page of the United City Football Club (UCFC) of Fargo Moorhead, and formerly of Bloomington Normal Illinois. UCFC is a social league team, and a former competitive adult soccer club in Central Illinois, managed by Christian Kang. Founded in 2008 by Christian Kang and Harper College standout/captain Kenneth Caslin. At the last kick in Illinois, UCFC had a competitive record of 122 wins, 35 loses, and 14 draws with 593 goals for and 200 goals against.
PHILOSOPHY: The UCFC is an exercise in leadership & management thru practical application and advancement of three core principles:
1) Every player has the ability to compete, the requisite skills to perform at a high level and demands,
2) The athlete must have the intrinsic mentality to want to win/succeed,
3) The individual exhibits behaviors that are conducive to building & maintaining a healthy team environment that enables shared success as a unit (team chemistry).
...with no sacrifice or trade-off of one of these principles for another (e.g. trading behaviors for ability, etc)
COLORS: Team colors are red, alternative color is white.
LEAGUES: Current league is the FM City Soccer Social League as organized by Cory Schelack at www.fccitysoccer.org.
In Illinois the majority of home games were played at the Sale Barn Fields in Bloomington. The last league was the Illinois Fusion Adult Competitive League as organized by www.illinoisfusion.com and the Bloomington City Parks & Rec.
TITLES: The UCFC has won 7 titles thru 7 seasons of competitive adult soccer in the Twin Cities.
